New Year’s Eve: You’ll be out late with the fireworks happening all around your home. Your dog will be alone and possibly terrified. Hundreds of dogs each New Year’s Eve break out of their backyard in their fear and go missing. Small dogs can be particularly susceptible to this sort of panic. Your dogs can feel safe and distracted from the noise around them at Canine to Five Dog Day Care. Drop them off on the afternoon of December 31st. They will be kept safe and occupied all evening indoors in a sound insulated room and reassured by human and dog company. They will have party games (like chase the bacon-flavoured bubbles, hide-and-seek, tug-of-war), and a light meal (homemade chicken and vegetable casserole) – all the while with relaxing aromatherapy and “white” noise playing in the background to drown any unnerving outside fear sources. Then the curtains will be drawn, the dog dvds will go on and your dogs will relax in comfort and security. They will be constantly supervised – we’ll be sleeping in the same room with them! You can pick your dog up New Year’s Day.
